When I was starting out as a nail tech I was so nervous and it is so normal to feel that way. But, I had the passion needed to push myself into it. So I ended up taking a course that was a single day, start to finish it was about 8 hours and I actually did three courses in that time if I remember that correctly, my hard gel training, gel polish training and acrylic training which needless to say was not enough time to leave feeling confident. So I had to improvise and start self teaching and ended up reenforcing the qualifications I had gained with a city and guilds certificate at a college near me. Looking back made me realise I wanted to help people get into this industry with a stronger entry than I had, I'm now so passionate about properly educating people and I want my learners to leave their course feeling confident and empowered, so here’s my detailed online course!
In this section I go through some things I wish I knew when I was a beginner, as well as some things others wish they'd had known as a beginner. It's important to remember that we all start somewhere but hopefully we can bypass you past some of these things so you have a running start.
